The design and branding process has been a long-time coming…here’s a little more about the process over the past several months…

The final concept is not something I would have would have come up with, but I love it! Originally, I wanted to bring in elements reflecting the outdoor and non-profit industries; the original design was a doorway with a mountain and a trail. Really sweet, but I was seeing other logos that seemed similar for gear companies and the like. I didn’t want to be confused for an outdoor outfitter (slight chance of this, but you never know).

The other “missing element” was that I have been finding myself drifting into the world of projects aimed kids and young adults. When I started on my VO journey, I was drawn to nature documentaries. The problem? That’s not where my voice and style fall. Being a smiley young adult or doing things with a little snark come more naturally that “playing it straight”. On a recent voiceover practice session, I was told I have a millennial sound. Lesson learned: stop acting my age and go with what works. ๐Ÿ™‚

While I’m not saying I do ONLY kids eLearning, the branding certainly speaks to being fanciful, while still brining in an outdoor element. Nice. The final logo concept came from the uber talented (and quite entertaining) Todd atย NobleToad Productions. HUGE THANK YOU!

P.S. As a bonus, I now have a favicon! I’ve been wanting one for a while. Amazing what people find amusing, right?
